Colleen graduated from Emory University in 2004 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a bedside nurse for ten years in Orthopedics, Gynocology, Women's Surgery, and Mother Baby. In 2014, after many struggles with her own breastfeeding journey, she decided to persue her passion and obtained her IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings for the last ten years helping new and seasoned mothers on their own breastfeeding journeys. She loves working with mothers and newborns from their first latch to assisting with pumping plans for mothers returning to work and everything in between. She also holds her Maternal-Newborn Certification through the NCC. Colleen also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance and, when not spending time with her family, teaches classes at her local ballet studio.
