Erin grew up in Acworth, Georgia and has only lived in Cobb County. She is a graduate of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University where she received her Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing. Erin further obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in pediatric primary care from the University of Alabama of Birmingham in 2016.
Her former work experience includes working at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite where she spent 5 years in the Emergency Department and 4 years in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serving the acute and critical care settings within the hospital environment. During her time at Children’s, she obtained advanced competencies and certifications where she was able to treat and manage a diverse population of disease processes in trauma, neurosurgery, neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, general surgery, and cranio-surgery. She advanced her career as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner in the primary and private setting since 2016 prior to joining Healthy Steps Pediatrics.
Erin has special interests that include asthma and allergy, but her primary focus and passion for our patients is preventative care that includes, delivering wellness promotion along with providing family centered care, detection of illness and disease, and accident prevention.
Erin and her husband Lane have two boys, Sawyer and Finn, whom all are proud Georgia Bulldog fans and members of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. She spends her days either at the fields, ballpark, or in a gym, as a proud football, baseball, and wrestling mom and attempts to squeeze in a work out or run if there is any time left in her day.
