Mary Hammock Jahr, CPNP-PC, PMHS-BC

Pediatrics

Mary graduated from The University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1997. She worked at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children as a pediatric medical/surgical nurse. In December of 1999, she graduated with a Masters of Science  in Nursing from Emory University. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. During her education, she spent many clinical hours in a busy primary care pediatric practice.


Mary is educated to evaluate, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries, as well as prescribe according to clinical research and recommendations. She is thorough in wellness checks and sports participation physicals. Mary can order and interpret lab results and x-rays, and counsel patients and their families about treatment plans, general health, and illness specific education. She has worked in busy pediatric practices for more than 11 years and enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She loves to watch the children grow into beautiful and accomplished young adults, with big dreams ahead.


Mary has developed special interests over the years, including allergies, asthma, autism, abdominal pain, foster care, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and special needs.


Mary enjoys teaching and continues to lecture at Emory University. She often has clinical NP students in the office.


Mary and her husband, Tom, have nine beautiful and awesome children. She is proud to be the mother of a special needs child. Being a mother has enriched her life and improved her practice. She feels incredibly blessed!!!
